about serpentine

serpentine eclectics is a small business run out of my home studio in Southern California. All items are made by hand by me, out of a majority recycled, deadstock, vintage or antique materials. I specialize in .925 sterling silver jewelry, and make every piece by hand, from scratch. This includes cutting and shaping every stone, soldering every joint, down to the final hand polish.

Items listed on for sale are often one of one, but I can make duplicates upon request if I am not limited by materials. I also offer custom, one of a kind pieces if you want a truly one of one piece. If you would like to request either of these, please send in a request via the customs form in the sidebar.

You can shop select pieces at RatStar Oceanside, located at 321 S Coast Hwy, Oceanside, CA 92054. follow @serpentine_eclectics on instagram to stay updated on future pop up/market dates and new collection releases.

about our materials

Sterling silver is a precious metal alloy (92.5% pure silver + 7.5% other metals like copper), making it more durable and wearable than pure silver, yet still an incredibly valuable and heirloom-quality piece. I work solely with this metal for its durability, longevity, tarnish-resistance, and its beauty. Unlike titanium, nickel, or other cheap metals, it will not degrade over time due to wear (or turn your skin green). Sterling silver is water-safe, and you can wear and cherish these pieces for decades to come. I often recycle my own silver for sustainability purposes, and this will be noted on select products.

My deadstock leather is acquired from businesses & product lines that are no longer in production, thus providing unique materials not attainable at conventional stores (and simultaneously saving textiles from going to the landfill). I am committed to using only secondhand/deadstock leathers both for their uniqueness, and in the vein of sustainability & not contributing to the new leather industry.
